Barbara R. Smith, 85, of Circleville, died March 12, 2011 in Circleville. She was born
Jan. 7, 1926 in Circleville, the daughter of Silas and Jennie (Climber) Smith. Barbara was a member of First Church of Christ in Christian Union and retired from Circleville Manor. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; son Gary and 4 brothers 4 sisters. She is survived by her children, Melvin (Pam) Smith, Raymond Smith, Julie Smith, Carlene Griffey and Justin Smith; 14 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; brother, Carl Griffey; sisters, Evelyn Cassidy and Jennie Vance; several nieces and nephews and special friends, Mae Delong and Ruth Musselman. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, March.15, 2011 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with Pastor Mike Holbrook officiating. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday 5 – 8 pm.
