Audrey Azbell

Audrey P. Azbell age 89 of Circleville, passed away on June 25, 2026 at her daughter’s residence. She was born on November 1, 1936 in Hocking County, the daughter of Carl H. and Fanchion (Fetherolf) Stump. She was a 1954 graduate of Laurelville High School. Her first job was working at the restaurant in Laurelville during high school. After graduation she was employed at RBM and later at General Electric in Circleville. She was last employed at Ames Department Store in Circleville and retired there as District Secretary. On February 4, 1956 she married Robert “Bob” Azbell. They celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary on February 4, 2026. Robert passed away on February 9, 2026. She loved working in her yard and tending her flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob; daughter Debra Kay Hurd; son Stephen Michael Azbell; sisters Esther Henson, Rose Norton, Marie Whitcraft, Alice Grove, Ruth Moore, Betty Hatzo and Marlene McNichols; brother Carl “Pat” Stump. Survived by daughter and son-in-law Diane and Kenny Poling; son-in-law Jan Hurd; grandchildren Scott (Connie) Poling, Justin Poling, Janna Sailor and Andy (Diane) Hurd; great grandchildren Ashton Poling, Gunner Poling, Colten McNichols, Zachary Jacobs, Jacob and Jason Sailor, Isaac, Logan and Adam Hurd, Tristin Jenkins and Maci Garrett, Gavin and Sadiee Jenkins; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Beeman and Shirley Arledge and by numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow in Green Summit Cemetery, Adelphi, Ohio. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 12-1.
