Arthur Timmons

Arthur Lee Timmons a Stoutsville resident of over 60 years, was a devoted husband, loving father, papaw and grandfather, passed away at Berger Hospital on May 9, 2025, at the age of 82 years old. He was born in Circleville on August 5,1942 to the late Catherine Connor. Art was preceded in death by his daughter Kathleen Townsend, grandsons Rhett Bigham and Jason Barker. He is survived by his wife Regina (Marcella) Timmons of 60 wonderful years, daughters Iris Sue (Rick) Barker, and Joyce (Al) Mathes, brother Johnny (Pam) Hayes, sisters Marilyn Wyatt and Sharilyn Botkins, sister in laws Janie Fausnaugh and Mae (Ted) Poling, brother in laws Joseph Wagner and Jessie Patterson, grandchildren Terry Owen, Jeremy (Hillary) Townsend, Justin (Rebecca) Townsend, Megan (Luke) Seckman, and Jordan (Shira) Clemmons, as well as great grandchildren, Paityn, Christopher, Lillian, Dawson, Madilyn, Connor and Carson and by several nieces and nephews. Art dedicated 10 years to the National Guard; he was a Volunteer Deputy Sherrif and was one of the first members of the fire Dept. in Stoutsville. Art was a mechanic for Byers Chrysler for 35 years, for which he was proud to pass down his knowledge of working on cars to his neighbors, friends, and grandchildren. He always had an open heart as well as an open garage, no matter the time of day or the weather he was there doing what he loved- working on cars and mentoring others. Not only did Art love his family, and repairing vehicles, he also loved being able to provide the town of Stoutsville with a soda machine. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.
