April McNichols

April McNichols, 54 of Laurelville, Ohio passed away at her family home on Wednesday February 18, 2026. She was surrounded by her loved ones as she lost her courageous battle with Breast Cancer. She was born April 29, 1971 in Circleville, OH to Ronald and Beverly (Hinton) McNichols. She was preceded in death by her parents. April is survived by her children Robert (Carolynn) DeLong Jr., Tina (Kyle) Seymour, Ryan Wiget and Sierra Wiget. Grandchildren Cameron and Logan Seymour, Kayla Kuykendall, Lynnlea DeLong, Payton Seymour and Tucker DeLong. Siblings Angela Robinson, Danny (Sugar) McNichols and Holly McNichols. Along with several nieces and nephews. After her parents died April and her siblings established McNichols Care Home in their family home. Where they provide a home to veterans. April took great joy in looking after ‘the guys’.

She was an avid animal lover, with a special place in her heart for her boxer dogs and horses. April loved spending time with family, especially for a competitive game of backyard badminton.

April was brave and a fighter until the very end. Never giving up hope, even on her worst days. She will be missed deeply.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday February 24th at 10am at the Wellman Funeral home, Laurelville officiated by Jimmy Vandegriff. With burial to follow in Green Summit Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4-7pm. Online condolences can be made to www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com
