Andrew "A.J." Smith III

Andrew A. Smith III (AJ), 36, was taken from this Earthly life on Friday, September 4, 2026, as a result of a motorcycle accident. He was born on October 14, 1989, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Andrew A. Smith, Jr. and Kristi (Nate) England, who survive. He was preceded in death by grandfathers Andrew A. Smith and John Prince, and cousin, Ethan Kerr. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, and light of his life, Drew Smith; grandparents, Carol Prince, Earl (Patsy) Cole, and Thelma Smith; sister and ultimate sibling, Stephanie (Charles) Sickles; nephew, Charlie Sickles, and niece, Sadie Sickles; mother of his child, Brandi Harper; girlfriend, Brandi Williams, and her children, Romen and Mia; and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. AJ, as he was affectionately known, battled to find himself for a time, but truly began living his life with open eyes 6 years ago. He had immense love for his son, who helped save him. He loved nothing more than being a big kid with Drew by his side. AJ was creative, funny, artistic, meticulously driven, deep, and free-spirited. He was a gifted autobody repair professional, an avid tattoo artist, and a multitalented builder and tinkerer. He was a true motorhead, passionate about all things with motors and wheels. He was a skilled jack-of-all-trades when it came to vehicles, sharing his talents with many customers along the way. “Just remember me, becoming everything they told y’all I couldn’t be. and I kept it real as I could. Don’t judge the cover of this book, because I’m way more than I look.” Visiting hours will be held Thursday, September 10, from 4 – 7 p.m. at Wellman Funeral Home in Circleville. Funeral service will take place on Friday, September 11, at 10:30 a.m., with burial to follow in the Reber Hill Cemetery.
