Alton Carithers

Alton C. Carithers, 88, of Circleville, died January 18, 2010 at Pickaway Manor. He was born September 28, 1921 in Danielsville, GA, the son of Dallas and Nettie (Burgess) Carithers. He was an U.S. Army veteran of WWII, serving in Europe, member of Masonic Lodge, American Union Lodge #1, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite, American Legion #134 and VFW #3331. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Estelle Smith, Winnie Sue Crowe and Hoytie Arenhdall and brothers, Theron and Truitt. He is survived by his children, Jeffrey (Beth) Carithers of Circleville and Debbrah (Ronald) Albright of SD; grandchildren, Jason and Michael Carithers; great grandson, Rylie; brothers, Oneal (Helen) and Donald (Lillie) Carithers and sister, Maliece (Jack) Eley. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday January 24, 2010 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
