Gerald Eugene Conkel

Gerald E. “Curly” Conkel, 71, of Circleville passed away on May 29, 2018.  He was born on November 7, 1946 in Scioto County to Gerald and Geraldine (Keller) Conkel.  Curly was a member of Pickaway Lodge #23 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus, Amvets, VFW and Eagles.  He loved Nascar and dirt track racing where 4 generations of family have participated. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Pamela (Wilson) Conkel, siblings Nancy Spurlock, Ronald and Charles Conkel and Marcella Giffin.  Gerald is survived by his children Bob (Dora), Brian (Darla), Bradney (Shelly) Conkel and Mary Cline, grandchildren Megan (Jose) Travis, Sara, Brandon (Brittany), Kyle (Kaitlyn), Hannah and Chelsea Conkel, great grandchildren Gracie, Olivia, Kendall, Bryson, Elaina and Aria, ½ brother Jimmy Tolor, girlfriend Deva Smith, former ex-wife Nellie Conkel and by best friends Ray Spurlock and Jack Lutz.  A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 2-6 at Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the funeral home in Gerald’s name.  Online condolences can be made to www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
