Dannie Phillips

Dannie Phillips, 64, of Circleville, went to his heavenly home on Sunday May 12th after a brief battle with cancer. He was born at Berger hospital on September 2nd, 1954, to the late Forrest and Katie (Linton) Phillips. He is preceded in death by his parents and many beloved family members and friends whom he is now rejoicing with in paradise. 

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Kay (King) Phillips, son Anthony Phillips (Heather Korte) daughter Katie Rose (Nathan) Boyce, former daughter-in-law Maria Phillips, sisters Donna Roy, Conda (Rick) Wood and brother Mark (Karena) Phillips. He loved and adored his grandkids, Jordan, Jackson, Cerridwen, Evelyn, Maggie, Lili, Jillian, Grace, and his faithful companion, Charlie. Dannie was a graduate of Logan Elm High School, a member of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio, Masonic Lodge # 624. He was an accomplished mechanic, working for many years on the vehicles of family and friends, at Phillips Automotive and Equipment Services and later 

worked tirelessly at Kenworth Trucking Company. Dannie also had a love of farming, agriculture, and animals. He was happiest on his tractor, raising sweet corn that he gladly shared with family and friends. He raised cattle, hogs, and chickens and loved his horses and dogs. Dan was loving and giving and would and did do anything he could to help his fellow man. He loved his family, his tools and gadgets and having cook outs and Super Bowl parties and his PBR. He was fun, opinionated; at times he could be grumpy and knew how to push your buttons. He delighted in pissing people off and also going above and beyond to light up your life. He loved shopping at Walmart. "Going to town" was one of his favorite things to do. The void he leaves can never be replaced.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with Walter Rider officiating.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00. Masonic Service to be held at 1p.m.  Celebration of life to follow service.
