Barbara (Cupp) VanGundy

Barbara VanGundy, 67, of Circleville passed away on August 23, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer surrounded by her family.  She was born on December 28, 1950 in Circleville to Fredrick and Norma Jean (Lockard) Cupp.  She was a member of the American Legion, Amvets, was president of bowling, coached softball and loved spending time with family, loved having flower gardens, going fishing and loved her cat Elroy.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by siblings Richard Eugene and Elizabeth Jean Cupp and father-in-law John David VanGundy, step father-in-law Dick Giffin and by sister-in-law Esther Geneva VanGundy.  Barbara is survived by her husband of 32 years Rick VanGundy, children Lori Bush, Angie (Rodney) Schrake, Kerry “PeeWee” (Shelly) Bush Jr. and Dustin Sutton all of Circleville, grandchildren Travis (Stacie) Lockhart, Leah Johnson, Daryl Sue (Chris) Lockhart, Brandon, Casey (Rochelle), Cory (Taylor) and Courtney (Shawn) Bush, Cassie (Jeff) Dixon, Kayleen and Brittany Schrake, Sabrina (Jason), Fenimore,  Zach and Dustin Jr., 13 great grandchildren and 3 on the way, mother-in-law Esther Geneva Giffin, brother and sister-in-laws Robert (Kim), Randy (Tonya), Raymond “Skeet” (Pam) VanGundy, Roberta Emerson, numerous nieces and nephews and by special loved ones Pam VanGundy and Kim Aber.  A special thank you to Adena Hospice and her nurse Jamie.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with burial to follow in Reber Hill Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5-8 p.m.  Online condolences can be made to www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
