Roger Kellough Obituary

Roger Kellough Sr., 87, of Chillicothe passed away on April 19, 2024.  He was born in Chillicothe on July 30, 1936 to John and Lola (Walls) Kellough.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Thelma (Bensonhaver) Kellough; siblings John Jr. and Mary Adkins and by daughter-in-law Rhonda Kellough.  Roger is survived by his children Karen (Mark) Hankins, Roger (Rona) Jr., Bruce, Joseph, James (Suzy) and Chad (Brandi) Kellough; 18 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 1 great, great grandchild; siblings Harry Kellough, Emma Stratton, Annabelle Carper and Ruth Ann (Everett) Alley and several nieces and nephews.  Roger was a special spirit who lived life to the fullest whether it was sitting on the start-finish line at a Nascar race or having a cup of coffee on his front porch.  He was always content and lived life with a glass half full attitude.  He spent much of his young life racing cars in Ohio but moved to South Carolina in the mid 1980’s where he worked in the shipyard industry.  He retired in the early 2000’s and returned home to Ohio where he enjoyed life in Chillicothe and Circleville.  He loved racing, golf and his family.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date by the family. Memorial contributions are suggested to 2800 Corporate Exchange Drive #265, Columbus, Ohio 43231. Online condolences can be made to www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
